TABLET MAGAZINE

Tablet is a Jewish magazine about the world. Launched in 2009 as an online outlet about Jewish life and identity, Tablet quickly became “a must-read for all young politically and culturally engaged Jews” (New York Magazine).

Within a few years, it grew into one of the most influential platforms for news and ideas on the web, an address for reporting and arguments regularly cited by The New York Times, The Washington Post, Associated Press, The New Yorker, and others. Now, with multiple National Magazine nominations and awards, a stable of peerless writers and editors, and a global readership, Tablet is considered, in the words of Up in the Airauthor Walter Kirn, “the single best magazine in America.”

THE FREE PRESS

A new media company founded by Bari Weiss and built on the ideals that once were the bedrock of great journalism: honesty, doggedness, and fierce independence. We publish investigative stories and provocative commentary about the world as it actually is—with the quality once expected from the legacy press, but the fearlessness of the new.

Originally called Common Sense, we focus on stories that are ignored or misconstrued in the service of an ideological narrative. For us, curiosity isn’t a liability. It’s a necessity.

You won’t agree with everything we run. And we think that’s exactly the point.

The Times of Israel has no partisan political affiliation. It seeks to present the news fair-mindedly and offers a wide range of analysis and opinion pieces.
