On October 7, Shalom Alliance will bring the Greater Burlington and Stowe Area Jewish communities together for An Evening of Remembrance & Hope.
Exactly one year ago, the global Jewish community experienced the greatest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust when terrorists invaded Southern Israel, killing approximately 1,200 people and taking 251 hostages.
“In Israel, it is still October 7.”
When you travel to Israel, you hear that common refrain. For our community, many of us are still grieving and praying for those whose lives were shattered on that day – including hostages, those who died, and all their loved ones – and working in our own ways to rebuild, heal, and strengthen Israelis and our own communities.
This October 7, we will come together to remember and grieve, knowing that this has affected all of us in myriad ways, and find solace and strength in the solidarity and resilience of the Jewish people.
